 Trouble with High Voice
« Thread Started on Oct 18, 2009, 4:35pm »

I am having trouble with trying to stay in my High Voice. I feel as I am pushing out air which is causing me to become tense...How can I fix this?

kchbf,

Are you using head voice on your high notes? I'm not speaking about falsetto.

Our voices have different registers. If you are doing head voice properly you'll find that your high notes are more easily sustained because less air is passing through the vocal chords. Once you learn how to pass from chest voice to head voice properly and practice it for a while you can then bring more energy to the head voice and make it powerful without stain.

If you had a web cam I could see what you are doing wrong and help you correct this. There is no charge. I just like to help people.

Jeff

Everyone has a different voice. Some people find it much harder to sing low and some a lot more difficult to sing high. Have you ever done a course or training on signing from your diaphram?

To sing higher you should do a few techniques first to get you started. Start singing low then sing higher....la,la,la,la,la etc. Then sing higher and go to low.

There are links in my signature that will help you out as well.
