I dont know about the program in question, but all the vocal release or speech level singing are based on the belcanto style which is reputed to be the best in the world.

true... although most teachers in the U.S. (at least all the ones I've studied with) teach Bel Canto. It's made a pretty good comeback here.

I always wanted to learn Bel Canto. Why didn't he say so? It sounds much better than "street level." I don't want to learn to have a commercial voice since I have a strong middle. I'd rather learn classical.
.
Oh in Bel Canto, can you increase your range? Right now I'am can get to D6.

Bel Canto is technically a method, not a style, and yes, your range will naturally increase with an improvement in one's technique.
It sounds like you may be a lyric/light or coloratura soprano. D6 is pretty good. I would suggest focusing more on your tone quality and technique.
